Association for Behavior Analysis

Mission Statement:

The mission of the South Carolina Association for Behavior Analysis (SC ABA) is to promote the awareness and use of the principles and practices of applied behavior analysis for the delivery of treatment in natural environments. SC ABA:
 
(a) provides a framework for the sharing of information and ideas among people who are involved or would like to become involved in effective, ethical ABA-based programming
 
(b) supports the partnership between parents and providers involved in ABA-based services
 
(c) encourages quality ABA-based research within the state
 
(d) promotes socially valid and evidence-based interventions which maintain the dignity of all individuals who receive services.

Background & History 

The South Carolina Chapter of the Association for Behavior Analysis (SC ABA) was formed in February 2008 to address the growing need for an organization to advocate for quality ABA-related services in the state. Currently, the organization has over 225 active members.
